BALLARD FC PARTNERSHIP
WHAT WE DID
When Ballard FC approached us ahead of their 2023 season for livestream support, we excitedly hopped on a call—we had no idea that an amazing creative partnership was about to blossom. All we knew was that working with a local organization that is building community right here in Ballard through supporters, sponsors, and great semi-pro soccer was something we wanted to be a part of.

To start, Ballard FC was looking to uplevel their weekly livestream of matches throughout their three-month season. Our livestream engineers provided consultation to upgrade the streaming tech and gear, as well on-site tech support every game to assist their existing (and amazing!) volunteer crew—resulting in an improved stream experience for fans whether they are viewing at home or at the local brewery streaming the game. And when Ballard FC made it to the USL2 national championship, Red Element was there to support the livestream with cameras and technicians as Ballard FC made history by winning it all.
We also had the opportunity to brainstorm with Ballard FC about other creative content needs. From there we pitched, scripted, storyboarded, produced, shot, and edited two videos.
First, we created an anthem video to promote the upcoming season, create hype for fans, and showcase the new 2023 uniform. Over the course of filming our crew went to early-morning team practice, flew drones over the Ballard bridge, and filled our studio with so much haze they almost couldn't see each other.
We followed that with a second video—"Up the Stakes"—a short documentary following two players on their journey to make their dreams of playing professionally come true, while dealing with challenges on and off the field. The goal of this film was to profile players in order to show fans behind the scenes and get to know the players on a more personal level, all in hopes of building interest in following the team this season and beyond. The reaction to “Up the Stakes” has been exciting to see (12k+ views on instagram in the first month alone).
Red Element is proud to also be a sponsor of Ballard FC, and support local soccer and community building, right here in our backyard. #UpTheBridges!
