WHAT WE DID
Tash Haynes and Maiya Rivas had never met each other but they had one thing in common: they both grew up in foster care and received Treehouse services. In this video Tash and Maiya sit down for a conversation about their hopes and dreams for the future of youth in foster care. Along the way they share profound insights on what it is like to have grown up in the foster care system and how powerful it is to share those thoughts with someone with lived experience.
Treehouse's goal with this video was to make sure the subjects told their own story in their own words. We saw an opportunity to get creative and found a concept and format that maximized those voices by having these two come to our studio for an experience, a conversation, and to ultimately start a new friendship.
